Hey guys and gals I'm brand new to this Site and I joined to get information about my new dreads. I'm kinda concerned about my dreads because the lady that did my hair used a method i've never heard about before. She called it, double knotting..what she did was grab a section of my hair then make a knot at the tip. she then proceeded to pull the hair from the root to the tip and then twist the tip. She says that with time my hair will grow and then i just need to start palm rolling the dread to get it thicker. Right now they look like braids.

If anyone has heard of this can you tell me what you think about this method or give me any suggestions as to what I should do.
