What do you think about locks and MPB?

I'm considering getting locks, but I have a prominent bald spot (male pattern baldness). My hairline has receded slightly over the years, but I still have fairly thick hair on top. For years I told myself dreads would look terrible on me because of the bald spot. But then I thought, y'know, it's not like I'm going to grow any more hair up there, and it's not like my current hairstyle makes the spot less bald. I might as well go for it while I still have hair to dread.
