My dreadlocks are smaller now than they used to be

When i went to get some of the new growth from my dreadlocks twisted by someone, the person who did them made them way to small and didn't do the ends so now it looks kinda like small at the bottom but the ends are bigger than each dread. Can that be fixed at all?
