Re: how can i extend time between washes ?
Sat, May 2, 2009 - 7:49 AMTea tree oil helps the itchies and the smell if you like the smell of it, I for one, don't. Washing them that often won't hurt them, just listen to what your head tells you. :D I just wash mine when they get itchy, whenever that happens to be. Be it 4 days, or 2-3 weeks. Right now, I'm on about 2 and a half. I'll probably wash mine tonight. As they get older they itch a lot less. This coming from someone who's had hers a couple of weeks short of 3 months and mine have almost quit itching completely. Almost. *scritch scritch*

Re: how can i extend time between washes ?
Thu, May 7, 2009 - 6:17 PMi go long time in between washes (ususally 2 weeks) and the only time i wash is when my hair feels really greasy. i had pretty greasy hair to begin with, so this isnt too surprising. the itch does go away with time. mine are almost 2 years old (their birthday is on the 10th!!!) and they havent itched in quiet some time.
saying that, i'm also good at mastering the illusion of clean, as i call it. lol. since my hair gets greasy so fast, so does my bangs/loose hairs that i have in the front. i remedy this by applying some baby powder to the roots of my bangs and smoothing it through to the tips. this keeps your hair looking less greasy and can help extend in between washing time. i only do this on my front hairs tho since they get dirty the fastest.
