what do you use to wash your hair?
what stuff have you tried/what's been good/what's been bad
i saw a similar thread but i think it was pretty old and more about 'what's best'.
i'd just like to know what everyone personally prefers.
i've only ever used the dreadhead shampoo, and i like it a lot, but i'd rather not have to special order it.
it seems like it would be a lot simpler than it seems to find good soap for dreads, but to be honest i'm a little afraid to experiment!
i'd like to know what to absolutely watch out for, lest i might ruin my hair. it really shouldn't be that complicated, should it?

Re: dread soap
Thu, October 15, 2009 - 9:17 AMDr. Bronners all the way dude~ Completely all natural, fair trade, organic, castile soap (made from veggies not animals), made from recycled bottles, no animal testing.... pretty much everything good. You can get a big 32 oz. bottle for like $15 that will last you FOREVER. I like the peppermint kind the best. It makes your scalp and skin all tingly and the peppermint fills the shower with refreshing vapors. It feels like you're breathing in cool air. It makes you never want to get out of the shower!
Give it a try~

Re: dread soap
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 10:12 PMi got some dr bronners. it's marvellous. i could write a whole post on it.
it comes in a bigger bottle, i can find it locally, it's cheaper, it's made of good stuff, and it smells delightful. my hair feels clean and amazing and the best way i can describe the peppermint castile soap is like the minty freshness of brushing my teeth, except for my scalp.
thanks for the suggestions.
