OK so I have been letting my hair naturally dread for little over a month and im making some slow progress. I know it takes months/years so im patient :) Just looking for some tips to help out. I have thick, wavy hair, and I have had a few natural dreads before but my main issue is that once I wash my hair every 3-4 days without any conditioner (use the dreadhead HQ shampoo) my hair becomes so wavy that I have baby dreads what are wavy lol. Any way to straighten them out? How should I dry my hair? I usually just let it air dry which takes hours. And last, what could I use to keep my hair dry enough but not to dry? I hear baking soda works but never tried it..

Thanks for any help.

To straighten them, I would try some palm rolling... I find that helps if I have dreads that aren't perfectly straight.
I have also found that a microfiber towel helps a lot when drying dreads... use it to squeeze them out then wrap them up for an hour or so.
I've heard that aloe is good for keeping dreads from drying out too much.
    Good luck!

i use to have dredlocks over a year ago and i cut them. now a month ago i started my dredlocks back, they are now fully locked. what you do is for atleast a week wet your hair everyday and rub honey through your hair, at the end of the week get it re- twisted using only honey and spritz, then u will see the difference.

see what the honey does is picks up all loose hairs and tightly wraps them around the dreds making it tangle faster. not only that it is the best conditioner in the world it keep yo shits lookin fresh, tight, and it makes your hair really strong, not to mention it grows the hell out of it.
try it and get back at me telling me if it helped

Wow yea I dunno about honey, seems like that would be incredibly messy and attract bugs... not to mention all the other random dust and bits of fuzz and everything else that would stick in your hair...
